The San Diego Chargers are favored at home in NFL preseason odds on Saturday night as they host the Dallas Cowboys. This would be a high profile game during the regular season and it should get a little interesting in NFL preseason betting at Sbg global.
NFL preseason odds favor the Chargers by three points in this contest with Dallas. Normally the Cowboys would be playing a lot of starters in their third preseason game but since Dallas is playing five preseason games that is not going to be the case in this one.
Cowboys Offense: Dallas has some questions on offense that you might not be thinking about. They have some major problems on the offensive line so you may not see quarterback Tony Romo for long in this meaningless preseason game. The only reason he might get some time is that the Dallas offense really hasn’t been able to find the end zone very much in the preseason. You wouldn’t think that would be a problem with all the talent Dallas has but the Cowboys are not clicking on all cylinders yet. The Cowboys are saying that the backups will just have to fill in and protect Romo but we’ll see on Saturday night how serious Dallas is about risking Romo past the first quarter.
San Diego: The Chargers looked good last week in a rout of the Chicago Bears. The Chargers don’t seem to be missing wide receiver Vincent Jackson at all and rookie running back Ryan Mathews is well on his way to making people forget about LaDainian Tomlinson. Philip Rivers is an excellent quarterback and he is going to put up big numbers again this season. With Mathews in the backfield he might actually have a running game as well this season.
Side and Total: This game might be a good one for a two-team parlay. The Cowboys really have shown no real interest in doing anything so far in the preseason while the Chargers have looked good. Dallas should score some points in this game which would mean if San Diego does as expected, the game also goes over. The Chargers and over might be worth a look in NFL preseason betting on Saturday night.
