Week 7 in NFL odds went to the underdogs again. The big favorites did not do well and the New Orleans Saints were the biggest disappointment as they lost outright at home to the Cleveland Browns. The Saints were not the only big favorite to fail against the NFL betting odds in Week 7.
The Saints were laying 12 points to Cleveland at the Sbg global sportsbook while the Baltimore Ravens were laying 12 points at home to the Buffalo Bills. The Ravens didn’t cover either but at least they did win the game in overtime. The Browns are Bills are not popular team with bettors but they both came through in Week 7 as big underdogs.
Another Big Dog
Oakland Raiders – The Oakland Raiders were getting a touchdown at Denver and they demolished the Broncos by a score of 59-14. The Raiders were also not a popular pick this week but they completely controlled the Broncos from start to finish and it was on the road in Denver.
Small Dogs
It was not just the big underdogs that covered in Week 7 either. A number of other games were tight with the underdogs coming through. The New England Patriots were getting points at San Diego and they won outright. The Carolina Panthers were a one point underdog against San Francisco and they won outright 23-20. The Miami Dolphins and St. Louis Rams did not win their games outright but both came through for bettors. The Dolphins lost by just one a home to Pittsburgh getting three points in NFL betting odds while St. Louis lost by just one at Tampa Bay getting a field goal. Washington was getting three points at Chicago and they were able to win the game outright in an ugly turnover mess 17-14.
A Few Favorites Cover
There were a few favorites that did come through in Week 7. Kansas City struggled early with Jacksonville but pulled away in the second half to win 42-20. The Atlanta Falcons outscored the Cincinnati Bengals by a score of 39-32. Tennessee blew away the Philadelphia Eagles as three-point home favorites and Seattle was able to hold off Arizona and get the 12 point win as a touchdown favorite in NFL odds.
