NFL Odds: Dolphins vs. Bengals

This Sunday afternoon, the 1-3 Miami Dolphins travel to the Midwest to take on the 3-1 Cincinnati Bengals. Gametime in Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, OH, is scheduled for 1:00 PM ET, and all of the action will be televised regionally on CBS.

The Dolphins come into this game after suffering a loss on the road to the undefeated Arizona Cardinals, 24-21. Miami held a 480-297 edge in offensive yards, including a 394-269 edge in passing yards, and an 86-28 edge in rushing. Turnovers cost them the game, however, as they lost 2 fumbles and threw 2 interceptions. The pushed the game to overtime, tied at 21, but a Cards field goal gave Arizona the lead for good. The Bengals are coming off of an easy victory on the road over the Jacksonville Jaguars, 27-10. Their defense allowed just one touchdown and one field goal from the Jags, while holding them to just 212 total yards. Cincy held a 382-212 edge in offensive yards, including a 138-69 edge in rushing. QB Andy Dalton threw 20-of-31, for 244 yards, and 2 touchdowns, while WR AJ Green ran for 117 yards and a touchdown on just 6 catches. In the last three weeks, the Bengals have scored a combined 99 points, and racked up 860 yards of offense in their last two games.

In Dolphins games, the underdog is 32-13 ATS recently. They are 2-1 ATS on the season, and 1-1 ATS as an away underdog. The favorite is 10-4-2 lately in Bengals games, and Cincy is 2-10 ATS against Miami. They are just 1-6 ATS as the host in this series. These two teams have met just three times since 2001, with the Bengals holding the edge, 2-1. Their last meeting, in October 2010, resulted in a 22-14 Miami win. In that one, Cincinnati was favored by 1 ½ points. In a December 2007 matchup, the Bengals won 38-25, after being favored by 2 ½ points.
