On Thursday night, the 49ers defeated the Seahawks, 13-6. The Niners were 7 point favorites, winning by 7. They bounced back from that embarrassing loss to the Giants, but showed little dominance over the Hawks. The Vikings improved their record to 5-2 with a defeat of the Cardinals, 21-14. Minnesota was a 6 point home favorite, barely covering by 1 point. The Cardinals leaped out to a 4-0 record as the season started, and are now 0-3 since then. RG3 and the Skins took on Eli Manning and the defending champion Giants. The result was a 27-23 Giants victory, and 4 Redskins turnovers. The Giants were 5 ½ point home favorites, barely missing covering the spread. The only real blowout of the week came from the Texans 43-13 win over the Ravens. This game was all Houston, and they were up 29-3 by halftime. They were 6 ½ point favorites at home, easily winning and covering.

One big game that everyone was watching was the Jets-Patriots. The Jets gave this one away, allowing the Pats a last-second field goal to tie, and giving up another in overtime. The 29-26 victory went to New England. In that one, the Patriots were 10 ½ point home favorites, failing to cover but at least escaping with a victory.

In Sunday’s late game, the Steelers took on the Bengals in Cincinnati. Pitt won 24-17 and dominated on offense. The Steelers were 1 point road favorites, covering the spread, while racking up twice as many offensive yards as the Bengals. Check the NFL Odds for NFL Week 8 Games.

On Sunday, the Bears are back at it, welcoming the Panthers. No line will be set for that until after tonight’s game has concluded, but look for Chicago to be heavily favored. The Redskins meet the Steelers in Pittsburgh, and the Steelers are 4 ½ point favorites. The late game features Drew Brees’ Saints traveling to Denver to play Peyton Manning‘s Broncos. The Broncos are 6 ½ point favorites in that one. And next Monday evening, the 49ers, after a long break, take on the Cardinals in Arizona. The Niners are 6 ½ point favorites in that one.
