NFL Betting Lines – Week 6 Recap

It was almost a draw between favorites and underdogs in NFL betting lines in Week 6.The biggest favorite in Week 6 NFL lines was Pittsburgh and the Steelers won and covered against the Cleveland Browns.  The Steelers were a popular pick at SBG but not all of the popular plays won this past week.Six Three-Point Games – Almost half of the games in Week 6 finished with a three-point margin and two of them went to overtime.  Miami Dolphins won in overtime at Green Bay as an underdog while New England won as a favorite at home in overtime against Baltimore.

Cowboys Now 1-4 – The Dallas Cowboys were one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl before the seasons began but they are now 1-4 and in serious trouble. The Cowboys could not get the win at Minnesota as the Vikings won 24-21 and covered the spread.

Rams are 3-3 – Almost as shocking as the Cowboys being 1-4 is the Rams being 3-3. They won at home as a big underdog against the San Diego Chargers.  The Chargers are now 2-4 and the second most disappointing team in the league behind Dallas.

Jets 5-1 – You have to get a little luck throughout the season even when you are a good team and the Jets were fortunate to win and cover at Denver in Week 6. They trailed by three points late in the game at Denver but got a pass interference penalty that gave them the ball inside the Denver five yard line and New York went from losing outright to winning by four and covering the spread.

Chiefs-Texans – The most exciting game of the week was the one in Houston as the Texans came back to defeat the Chiefs 35-31.  Houston was laying 4.5 points in NFL lines so they didn’t cover the spread but it sure was exciting to watch.

Lions Cover – The Lions lost again straight up but they covered the NFL betting lines against the New York Giants.  Detroit just never quits and they covered the big number against New York.

Redskins Lose but Cover – The Redskins covered against the Colts if you were getting 3.5 and that was the most common number. Indianapolis won but only by three.

Eagles, Seahawks, Saints and 49ers Win – The Eagles won and covered vs. Atlanta, Seattle upset the Bears outright in Chicago, New Orleans routed Tampa Bay and San Francisco won and covered at home vs. Oakland.
