NFL Betting Week 6 Recap

Week 6 in the NFL featured one surprise after another, from the lowly Titans defeating the Steelers, to the Giants crushing the 49ers. Let’s take a look at some of the more important games from this past week, as we await the Broncos-Chargers matchup later this evening.

On Thursday night, the Titans pulled off an upset of the Steelers, winning 26-23. A last-second field goal gave the Titans the lead for good in a game where Pittsburgh was a 5 point road favorite. Not only did they cover, Tennessee got the upset. It took them all game to get it done, though, as the Steelers were up 23-16 with less than 9 minutes to go in the game.

Another interesting matchup featured the Cleveland Browns winning their first game of the season, 34-24, over the Bengals. Cleveland snapped an 11-game losing streak, dating back to the 2011 regular season. That line had opened at -2 ½ for Cincy, but moved to a pick’em later in the week.

The New York Jets and Mark Sanchez, everyone’s favorite scapegoat in the NFL, defeated the Colts, 35-9. Sanchez only threw for 82 yards, but tallied 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. The Jets were 3 point home favorites in that one, and have improved to 3-3 on the season.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ turnover problems continued, as they faced the Lions at home. Philly was sacked 3 times, lost a fumble, and were picked off twice, as Detroit rallied from a 23-13 deficit to tie with a field goal in the final 3 seconds. Another field goal in overtime gave them the victory. Start your Football Betting for NFL Week 7 Games.

The Buffalo Bills, as 4 ½ point road dogs, covered the spread and upset the Arizona Cardinals. Last week we mentioned that the dog was 9-1-1 in Cards games lately, and that Arizona was 2-16 ATS after a double-digit SU loss against opponents who had suffered a similar double-digit SU loss.

The Giants stunned the 49ers in San Fran, defeating them 26-3. The New York defense harassed 49ers QB Alex Smith into 3 interceptions, shutting them out in all but the first quarter. Looking back on it, could anyone believe that the 49ers were 6 ½ point home favorites?

The Seahawks also stunned the Patriots, winning 24-23. The Pats were 3 ½ point road favorites, and were leading 23-10 in the fourth quarter. But two touchdowns gave Seattle the victory. Check the NFL Wagering Odds for NFL Week 7 Games.

Finally, the Packers ended the Texans’ undefeated season by winning 42-24 in Houston. QB Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay offense exploded for 6 touchdowns, while the defense forced 3 Houston turnovers, all on interceptions.

Week 6 in the NFL ends tonight as the Denver Broncos take on the San Diego Chargers. This game is still listed as a pick’em from SBGGlobal sportsbook.
