NFL Betting – Week 3 Recap

September 6th, 2022 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

NFL betting handicappers have seen big surprises so far but none bigger than the 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs after their 31-10 blowout of a San Francisco.

Double Whammies
The 49ers are as surprising as the Chiefs because they are 0-3 after being picked to win the NFC West. Two other surprises met in Pittsburgh’s 38-13 win and payout at Sbgglobal over Tampa Bay.  Pittsburgh has won all 3 of its games without its top 2 QB’s while Tampa Bay already has 2 wins and a share of first place in the NFC South.

The Seattle Seahawks are another surprise as are the San Diego Chargers as Seattle improved to 2-1 with a 27-20 win over the 1-2 Chargers, who are looking like an overlay on the futures board as they are 2 games behind KC in the AFC West.

Hot Seats
Baltimore still looks shaky on offense as they are 2-1 after a 24-17 win over Cleveland as the Eric Mangini watch is under way.

The Giants to Coughlin was facing a win or else season and is now 1-2 after a 29-10 home loss to Tennessee as Big Blue fell to 1-2 while the Titans are 2-1.

Jack Del Rio is in as much trouble as anyone after a 1-2 start that followed a 28-3 loss to Philadelphia in which the Jags were booed off their home field.  QB David Gerrard may follow Del Rio out of town.

The Chargers are 1-2 after a 27-20 loss at Seattle and continue to underperform with Coach Norv Turner.  Resurgent Seattle is 2-1 both straight up and with the NFL odds.

Coming Back
The Dallas Cowboys made an important statement as to who runs Texas with a 27-13 win to finally get a first win and back in the race.

The Minnesota Vikings also scored their first win of the season as they held off Detroit 24-10 to ease the tension as they head into a bye week.

Another team that is on its way back are the Chicago Bears after a big Monday Night NFL betting win over Green Bay as the Bears are 3-0 and alone in first in the NFC North and looking to be back in the playoffs for the first time since 2006.

Statement Maker
The Atlanta Falcons overtime win and payout with the NFL odds at New Orleans is a demonstration of their viability as a NFC contender and that New Orleans will not have an easy road back to the title.
