NFL Betting – Tennessee at Jacksonville in Monday Night Football

September 8th, 2022 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

Monday Night Football this week is a pretty good matchup in NFL betting as Tennessee visits Jacksonville. Both teams are 3-2 and in the mix in the AFC South.  The Titans are 3-point road favorites at the Sbg sportsbook. We know that home underdogs are popular for gamblers making an NFL bet but the public still does not believe in the Jaguars.

Last season the Titans and Jaguars split their two meetings with each team winning at home. This season the Titans have been good on the road as they have won both of their road contests and going back to last season they have won five of their last six on the road.

Offensive Shootout?  You may not think of Tennessee and Jacksonville as offensive powerhouses but both teams are scoring a lot of points. The Jaguars have scored 67 total points in their last two games. The Titans are fourth in the league averaging 26.4 points per game. They have scored 83 points combined in their last three games. The Titans will look to run Chris Johnson on Monday night. He ran for 228 yards and two touchdowns in a 30-13 home win against the Jaguars last year. The Jacksonville defense is 30th in the league, allowing 385 yards per game. The Tennessee defense has not been very good lately either as they have given up 1,042 yards in the last three games. David Garrard threw for 323 yards and three touchdowns against Tennessee in the October game last year. The Jaguars also have Maurice Jones-Drew who is tied for eighth in the league in rushing. If the Jaguars can get to 30 points again this week you have to like their chances. They are 36-6 all-time when scoring 30 points or more.

Recent History – The Jaguars have won three of the last five games in Jacksonville against the Titans and scored 37 or more in each of those wins. Looking at more betting stats for Monday, the Titans are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games as a road favorite. The Jaguars are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog. The Jaguars are 5-14 ATS in their last 19 home games. The Jaguars are 2-6 in NFL in their last 8 Monday games. If you are looking at an NFL bet on the total, the Under is 4-1 in the Titans last 5 road games but the Over is 5-1 in the Jaguars last 6 games overall.
