NFL Betting – Ravens Heavily Favored at Home vs. Broncos

September 16th, 2022 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

The Baltimore Ravens are favored at home in NFL betting as they host the Denver Broncos. Before you go and make your NFL bet and lay the points with the Ravens you should realize that this is a huge letdown spot for the Ravens.  They beat Pittsburgh last week to tie the Steelers for the division lead and now they are expected to rout the Broncos.

What makes this game even more dangerous for the Ravens is that they go to New England next week.  They have to get over last week’s huge win and try and avoid not looking ahead to the game against the Patriots.  Gamblers at Sbgglobal are still leaning with the Ravens though as they make an NFL bet.

Ravens – Baltimore played well last week in the win at Pittsburgh as quarterback Joe Flacco made all the big plays late to lead the Ravens to the win. He hit wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh with an 18 yard strike with 32 seconds left to give the Ravens the win.  Flacco finished 24 of 37 for 256 yards. The Ravens won without a running game as Ray Rice had just 20 yards and Willis McGahee had just 37 yards. Baltimore is now 3-1 and tied with Pittsburgh for the division lead. They can take the outright lead in the division if they win this game since Pittsburgh has a bye this week.

Broncos – Denver is 2-2 on the season after getting a huge win last week at Tennessee.  The Broncos won 26-20 as Kyle Orton threw a 6-yard TD pass to Correll Buckhalter with just over a minute left.  Orton had 341 yards passing and two touchdowns. The Broncos won despite getting nothing from their running game.  The Broncos had just 19 yards on the ground last week but they still won.

Series History – The Broncos and Ravens have met eight times since the Ravens came into existence.  Baltimore has won five of those eight contests including 30-7 at home last season.  The Ravens are on a big point spread run against the Broncos as they have covered the spread in six of the last seven contests.  Another trend that has really done well in this series is the under.  Six of their eight all-time meetings have gone under the total in NFL betting.
