Thursday NFL Betting – Ravens and Falcons on the NFL Network

September 16th, 2022 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

We get our first NFL Network regular season game on Thursday night in NFL betting as the Atlanta Falcons host the Baltimore Ravens. It is an excellent matchup between two of the best teams in the league.  Both teams come into the game at 6-2 so this should be a very popular game for gamblers to make an NFL bet on at the Sbg global sportsbook.

Ravens 6-2 SU, 4-3-1 ATS
The Ravens come into this game off a big win last week at home against the Miami Dolphins.  Billy Cundiff kicked four field goals and the Ravens dominated the Dolphins, winning 26-10. It was the seventh straight win at home for the Ravens.  Baltimore never trailed in the game and really shut down the Dolphins offense.  Joe Flacco was 20 of 27 passes for 266 yards and two touchdowns.

Falcons 6-2 SU, 4-4 ATS
The Falcons made a statement last week as they defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a score of 27-21.  The Falcons are now in first place in the NFC South and have established themselves as one of the best teams in the NFC. It was not easy though for Atlanta and they did not cover the spread. Michael Turner rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

Baltimore Owns the Series
The Ravens have dominated this series going all the way back to when they were the Browns.  The Ravens have won six of the eight meetings and they are a perfect 8-0 against the NFL betting number.  The last meeting between the two teams came in 2006 in Baltimore as the Ravens won by a score of 24-10.  The last time t he teams played in Atlanta was in 2002 when the Falcons won 20-17 but did not cover the spread.  Another strong trend on this game is the under.  The last seven meetings have all gone under the total.

This is a great way to start the week with a game on the NFL Network between two very good teams.  It could be a low scoring game considering both teams are playing well defensively this season.  The Falcons have been very tough at home so they may get the edge from gamblers making an NLF bet in this Thursday night contest.
