NFL Betting Online – Unbeaten Chiefs a Big Underdog at Indianapolis

September 22nd, 2022 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

The Kansas City Chiefs are 3-0 while the Indianapolis Colts are 2-2 but it is the Colts who are heavy home NFL betting online favorites on Sunday. The Chiefs are coming off their bye week while the Colts were upset last week at Jacksonville.  There are a lot of people who still don’t believe in the Chiefs and the Colts are laying more than a TD in NFL betting.

Kansas City is definitely a surprise this season. Not many people believed that Kansas City would be 3-0 to start the season.  Kansas City has run the ball well, played very good defense and gotten great special teams play and they have found ways to win.  The big test now comes this week as the Chiefs face Peyton Manning and the Colts.

Indianapolis -8, Total 44.  The Colts are an 8-point favorite at SBG and the total on the game is listed at 44. The question that must be answered in this contest is whether or not the Chiefs can contain Peyton Manning and the Colts.  If Kansas City can’t slow down the Colts offense then they are likely to get blown out.  The Colts are still scoring points and Manning has played very well. The offense has not been the problem for Indianapolis.

Colts Defense Struggles – The Colts are simply not playing well on defense. They allowed Jacksonville to go up and down the field on them last week.  The Chiefs could have success running the ball with Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones. The Colts should just stack the box and try and stop the run and force Matt Cassel to beat them.  Whether they do that or not remains to be seen.

Laying Points – It is never easy to lay more than a TD in the NFL.  And in this case you are laying eight points to an unbeaten team. Sure, we may not believe in the Chiefs but they still haven’t lost a game yet.

Trends Favor the Colts – The Trends really favor Indianapolis in this contest. They have won 9 of the last 10 against the Chiefs and they are 8-2 against the NFL betting online point spread. The last two meetings have gone under the total and both of those were at Indianapolis as the Colts won 13-10 and 23-8.
