NFL Betting Online – Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars

December 1, 2010 NFL Football

This is the week in NFL betting online where we find out if the Houston Texans or the Jacksonville Jaguars are playoff contenders.

The Texans started the season great but they have collapsed while the Jaguars have been up and down. Both teams are 4-4 and as you would expect, the NFL betting line is close on this game.

Jacksonville -1, total 50 at Sbg global
The Jaguars are at home so they are a one point favorite in this game.  The total is very high at 50 but considering neither of these teams has a defense even that number may be too low.  The winner of this game will be in the playoff picture at 5-4 while the loser will be labeled as a fraud and in serious trouble.

Series History
The Jaguars have won six of the last ten meetings in this series but the Texans are 6-4 against the NFL betting point spread in those games.  Winning and not covering won’t be an issue in this game with the point spread so small.  Last season the Jaguars swept the season series, winning 23-18 at home and 31-24 on the road.  Jacksonville has won four of the last five at home against the Texans in this series.

Playoff Eliminator?
It is probably too early at Week 10 to say that the loser of this game in NFL betting online is out of the playoff race but there is no question the loser will be in trouble. You have to figure that it is going to take 10 wins to get into the playoffs in the AFC which means six losses is all you can afford. The loser of this game will already have five.

Show Me Game
This is the ultimate show me game this week. The Texans had the Chargers last week only to give the game away.  Jacksonville is coming off their bye after beating Dallas. Who is for real?  This is a must win game for both teams because the schedule doesn’t give them any breaks.  The winner is still alive and kicking while the loser will be answering a lot of questions. It should be a fun one to watch with all of the pressure on both teams.
