NFL Betting Online – Broncos at Titans

September 23rd, 2022 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

NFL betting online handicappers cannot be impressed with the Denver Broncos so far after three weeks of play as they face a rejuvenated Tennessee team on Sunday.

SBG opened with the Tennessee Titans as a 6.5 point home favorite over the Denver Broncos and with an over/under of 41.5. Kickoff is set for 1:05 PM and CBS will telecast the game.

Opposite Results and Directions
The Broncos are coming off a 27-13 home loss to the Indianapolis Colts as 5.5 point home dogs to fall to 1-2 both straight up and against the spread for the season.

The Tennessee Titans are coming off a 29-10 win at New York against a Giants team that was a 3 point NFL betting favorite.  The Titans now stand at 2-1 both straight up and against the spread.

Tennessee looks to be maintaining momentum from last year when they finished strong under quarterback Vince Young while Denver continues to wallow in ineptitude since blowing 8 out of their last 10 games to finish 2009.

Old School Titans
Tennessee wins football games the old fashioned way with a stout defense and power running game.  The Titans rank 8th in the NFL for total defense and 6th for points permitted.  Tennessee’s ground attack is led by last year’s NFL Offensive Player of the Year and 2000+ yard man Chris Johnson, who is a bit off his record setting pace of last year as he has gained 301 yards and has a 4.0 yards per carry average.  Young has been efficient at quarterback with a 96.9 QB rating and a 70% completion rate.

Opportunistic Win
Tennessee beat the Giants despite being outgained by a whopping 471-271 margin in total yards.  The picked off two Eli Manning passes and forced a fumble to steal the win as Johnson added 125 yards rushing with 2 touchdowns for the NFL betting online payout.

Broncos Busted
Denver outgained the Colts 472-325 and yet could not bring home the bacon as they were -2 in turnover margin and was lit up for 325 yards and 3 touchdowns by Peyton Manning.  The Broncos left a lot of points on the field as they failed to score a touchdown on five separate trips inside the Indianapolis 20 yard line.  Kyle Orton’s 476 yards passing went to waste in a bitter NFL betting defeat.
