NFL Betting – Green Bay Packers (4-4) at Minnesota Vikings (4-4)

December 1, 2010 NFL Football

NFL betting should be excellent on the game between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings.

Both teams come into the game at 4-4 so it is a key matchup in the NFC North.  Gamblers may have a tough time choosing a side with their football bets in this matchup because the game is so even.

NFL betting history shows that Green Bay has won 7 of the last 10 games against Minnesota.  They are only 5-5 against the NFL betting pointspread in those games.  That isn’t so important in this contest though since the game is virtually a pick on the Week 10 NFL odds board.

Green Bay has done pretty well against the Vikings at Minnesota in recent years.  They have won three of the last four games at Minnesota according to NFL betting numbers.  Each of those games was decided by a touchdown or less according to NFL betting stats.  Last year the Packers won 23-16 at Minnesota.  Earlier this season at Green Bay the Packers won 24-19 according to NFL betting numbers.  The Packers do have other NFL betting numbers in their favor.  Green Bay has been an excellent road underdog in recent seasons for gamblers making football bets.  They are well over 60% in that role since 2005 according to NFL betting stats.  The Vikings are not a bad home favorite though, hitting 60% of the time since 2005 in that role.

If you are looking to make football bets on the total there really are not any strong trends.  The Under is 5-4-1 in the last 10 meetings between the two teams.  At Minnesota, the Over is 2-1-1 the last four games according to NFL betting stats.  Green Bay is a slight over team on the road as about 57% of their games on the road since 2005 have gone over the number according to NFL betting stats.  The Vikings at home are right about .500 in terms of over/unders since 2005 according to NFL betting numbers.
