NFL Betting – Chicago Bears at St. Louis Rams

NFL betting odds have the Chicago Bears favored on the road in NFL odds Week 12 numbers. The Bears are fighting for the top spot in the NFC North this season while the Rams are playing out the string.  Gamblers making football bets will definitely be leaning with the Bears in this one.

NFL trends on this game are somewhat mixed. The Rams have won six of the last ten meetings between the two teams but it is Chicago that is 6-4 against the NFL number.  At St. Louis, the Rams have won four of the last six meetings according to NFL betting stats.  They are 3-3 against the NFL betting number in those games.  The last meeting between the two teams was in 2006 in St. Louis as the Bears won 42-27 according to NFL numbers.

The NFL betting trends on the total are also up and down. The last two games went over the total, the previous four went under and the three before that went over according to NFL stats.  The Bears are a slight under team on the road the past three seasons for gamblers making football bets.  The Rams are a solid over team at home going 17-10-1 to the over since 2005 according to NFL numbers.

Chicago has been a good team this season for the most part with Kyle Orton at quarterback while they struggled when he was injured.  The Rams have struggled most of the season but they at least have shown some ability to win with head coach Jim Haslett.

Gamblers making football bets on the NFL odds Week 12 board will have to decide if the Rams are going to put in a big effort at home against Chicago.  St. Louis still has quarterback Marc Bulger and running back Steven Jackson.  The defense is weak but the Bears offense is not one of the top ones in the league.

The Bears are 6-4-1 against the NFL betting pointspread as road favorites the past three seasons. The Rams have been a poor underdog during that same time period, going 5-9 against the NFL pointspread.
