NFL Bet Minnesota Vikings at Houston Texans

NFL bet focus at the online sportsbook on Monday will be on Brett Favre as he leads the Minnesota Vikings into Houston for a preseason battle with the Texans. NFL betting should be interesting in this ESPN televised contest on Monday. NFL odds at the sportsbook have the Texans as a three-point favorite with a total of 39 against the Vikings. Favre is expected to play at least a half on NFL Monday as he looks to get in synch with his teammates. Favre played briefly last week against Kansas City in NFL action but a lot more is expected on Monday.

Minnesota could have Sage Rosenfels following Favre in the second half as NFL info shows. It is a homecoming for Rosenfels who was traded from the Texans to the Vikings in the off-season as NFL information indicates. Rosenfels has been dealing with a minor injury so if he does not play it will be Tarvaris Jackson following Favre in NFL betting preseason action. Two other Minnesota players, wide receiver Bernard Berrian and defensive end Jared Allen are questionable as NFL injuries show.

Monday’s NFL game is a huge one for Minnesota and Favre. The team must develop some chemistry in a very short time. “Obviously chemistry is maybe the most important factor in winning and losing. There’s some work to do in that area,” Favre said, “I’ve been here a little over a week, and that’s the reason there’s work to do. I think the locker room has been fine. I don’t know what it was like before I got here. I wasn’t here.”

Houston has looked good on offense in the NFL preseason but their defense has struggled. Last week they gave up 420 yards and 38 points in an NFL loss to the Saints. Quarterback Matt Schaub has been excellent in the NFL betting preseason and he should go at least the first half in this game. “Well, it’s important for us. As a team, this is where the starters get a lot of time.” Schaub said, “We get to see a lot of action and we’re going against a good football team, one of the best in the league, especially on the defensive side of the ball. So it’s a good test for us. It’s good to get a normal game week so we can in our meetings, get into our routines so we can get prepared for the regular season.”

This is the first ever NFL betting preseason meeting between Minnesota and Houston as NFL history indicates.
