NFC East 2009 NFL Draft Odds

2009 NFL Draft odds for the NFC East might not hold a lot of drama, since only the Washington Redskins have a pick in the Top 20. What might be interesting though is if the Redskins trade up to take a shot at one of the top quarterbacks in 2009 NFL Draft betting, either Matthew Stafford or Mark Sanchez.

2009 NFL Draft odds on Washington probably have them selecting an outside linebacker if they don’t trade up to take a quarterback.  Two possibilities in 2009 NFL Draft betting for the Redskins are USC teammates Clay Matthews and Brian Cushing.

Philadelphia has the 21st pick in 2009 NFL Draft odds and they desperately need a top receiver. Unfortunately for the Eagles they would probably have to trade up to get one in 2009 NFL Draft odds.   The Eagles traded for left tackle Jason Peters which cost them the 28th pick in 2009 NFL Draft betting but at least that need was addressed.  Philadelphia also has a need to find someone to take the pressure off of running back Brian Westbrook.  The Eagles would love to take Georgia’s Knowshon Moreno if he is still on the 2009 NFL Draft odds board.

The Giants also need a receiver and they may have to trade to get one in 2009 NFL Draft odds.  New York has the 29th pick in 2009 NFL Draft odds and they are looking for someone to replace Plaxico Burress. It is still possible that receivers such as Percy Harvin out of Florida, Maryland’s Darrius Heyward-Bey, North Carolina’s Hakeem Nicks and Rutgers’ Kenny Britt could still be on the 2009 NFL Draft odds board.

Dallas does not have a pick in the first round of 2009 NFL Draft odds unless they trade up to get one.  They have the 51st pick overall which is in the second round of 2009 NFL Draft odds.  Dallas will probably be going with defense as they could use help at linebacker, safety and defensive tackle.  Many people believe they need another wide receiver to replace Terrell Owens but that does not seem to be on their agenda.

The NFC East could be the division that makes a draft day trade that impacts 2009 NFL Draft betting.  If not, then it will be a lackluster edition of 2009 NFL Draft odds for Philadelphia, Dallas, Washington and the New York Giants.
