News from around the NFL Leagues and more

The NFL training camps in the NFL are starting this week, thus it’s an exciting time for all football and sports fans. And as the week begins there is lots of news floating in the media for fans to digest, so why not take a look at some noteworthy news and players making the headlines in the NFL.

The Chicago Bears are starting out the training camp with some QB competition since McCown left Chicago for better things to come with Tampa Bay.  The real question now in Chicago and the Windy City, is who will be taking over the No.2 spot with the Bears this 2014 season?

The competition will be between their recently signed QB Jimmy Clausen and their returning QB Jordan Palmer.  The winner for the 2nd will remain with the loser more than likely be cut before the season starts, since the 3rd spot will be occupied by their new draftee David Fales who was chosen as a long term payoff  as well as a project of development.  The media sources are suggesting that Clausen has overcome Palmer for that 2nd spot, but that again will be more certain once the Bears and their training camp get underway.

Meanwhile the Denver Broncos open their camp with Running Back competition as some players are competing for positions on the starting roster. With RB Montee Hall have a lock on the No.1 RB spot, the next spots seem to be wide open at this point.  Sources covering the team in Denver are suggesting that the No.2 spot could go to RB Ronnie Hillman and backup C.J. Anderson faces the possibility of not making the team with Denver this 2014.  This season the Broncos have two talented undrafted rookies, Brennan Clay and Juwan Thompson with the possibility that either of the two could make the team roster for 2014.  Thompson’s expertises are on special teams and pass protection while Clay is also an excellent receiver.

The Tennessee Titans have their own competition involving her receiving corps with their 2nd year Justin Hunter being a player to watch as to date they like what they see.  They have even projected him for the 2014 season making seven TD’s on 44 receptions while gaining some 695 yards.  Then they have 3rd year Kendall Wright with whom they are expecting a breakout 2014 and they have him projected at scoring at least eight TD’s on 88 receptions gaining some 1,360 yards.

As one might expect all those projection depend on the success of Titans QB Locker who this 2014 season could be a make or break season for him, thus it will prove interesting to see the figures and stats at season end.

Also the NFL Regular 2014 Season schedule has been released and the first game is on Thursday night the 4th of September with the Green Bay Packer playing the reigning Champs Seattle Seahawks in Seattle at 8:30PM ET.  So now all you fans who Bet on NFL check with your Offshore sportsbook to see if they presently have their lines posted.
