New York Jets at New Orleans Bet on Football

Bet on football doesn’t get much better than the matchup on Sunday between the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints. Both teams are unbeaten this season but for different reasons.  The Saints win in NFL betting with offense while the Jets win with defense.

Bet on football has the Saints leading the league in scoring, (40 points per game) and total offense (438 yards per game.)  The Jets defense is second at 8.7 points allowed per game and third in allowing 256 yards per game. New Orleans has quarterback Drew Brees who has thrown for 841 yards with nine touchdowns and two interceptions. The Jets though are first in yards allowed per pass play which makes for an interesting bet on football matchup.

This bet on football matchup is also a good one between the coaches since New York’s Rex Ryan is a defensive guru while New Orleans’ Sean Payton is an offensive whiz.  “It’s going to be a great challenge to us,” Ryan said. “It’s who is in front of us. I know our guys will be prepared and we’ll go down there and give them everything we have and we’ll see if that’s good enough.”

This is the sixth time in their history that the Saints have started 3-0.  Only twice though have the Saints made it to 4-0.  Last week in NFL betting action the Saints ran for 222 yards in the win over Buffalo as running back Pierre Thomas had 126 yards and two TDs.  Brees gets a lot of the headlines but the Saints are ranked second in the league in rushing offense, running for an average of 170.7 yards per game and 5 yards per rush.   The New Orleans defense is better than in past seasons as they are tenth in the NFL, fifth against the run.  Bet on football stats have Darren Sharper tied for the NFL-lead with three interceptions.

This bet on football series between the two teams is tied at 5-5 with the Saints winning four of the last five games.  The last meeting was four years ago in New York as the Saints won 21-19. Seven games in the series have been decided by a touchdown or less, five by three points or less.

Bet on football trends have the Jets at 4-0 in NFL betting in their last 4 games as a road underdog. The Saints are 4-0 in NFL betting in their last 4 games as a home favorite.
