New York Giants a Power in NFL Odds

December 1, 2010 NFL Football

NFL odds have had the New York Giants favored most of the time this season.

Coming off a Super Bowl title, the Giants didn’t get a lot of respect early in the season but NFL lines makers finally caught on to how good New York is.

NFL odds results have seen the Giants make gamblers a lot of money this season.  Through eleven games, New York was 9-2 against the NFL odds, tied with Tennessee for the best mark in the NFL.  Normally when you bet NFL odds you go against the previous year’s Super Bowl winner but doing that this season would have lost you a lot of money.

New York has impressed most gamblers who bet NFL lines this year with a very balanced offense and a tough defense.  Eli Manning has proven that last year’s playoff and Super Bowl success was not a fluke.  The Giants have the most feared running game in the NFL according to experts that bet NFL lines with Brandon Jacobs leading the way.  Experts that bet NFL odds also see that New York also doesn’t seem to have missed a beat defensively even without retired defensive end Michael Strahan and the injured Osi Umenyiora.

New York has been virtually unbeatable both home and on the road in terms of NFL odds.  They are running away with the NFC East and will likely have home field advantage throughout the playoffs according to NFL odds experts.  Last season the Giants made it to the Super Bowl and covered the NFL odds winning each game on the road. NFL odds experts see that this season if they expect to make it back to the Super Bowl, the Giants will have to win their games at home.

Gamblers looking at NFL lines late in the season definitely can’t ignore the Giants.  The NFL odds value on New York is probably gone but going against the best team in football in terms of NFL odds is never easy to do, even if you are getting a lot of points.
