New England Patriots at Washington Redskins NFL Bet

NFL bet lines normally have home teams favored in the preseason but on Friday the Washington Redskins will be home underdogs against the New England Patriots. The Patriots are 3-point NFL betting favorites in this game that can be seen on CBS television.NFL bet stats have both teams coming into the game at 1-1.  The Patriots won at Philadelphia but lost to the Bengals while the Redskins lost to Baltimore in their NFL bet opener but won last week against Pittsburgh.

This is the 20th time the Patriots and Redskins are meeting in the NFL betting preseason.  The Patriots hold a 12-7 advantage in the previous NFL bet meetings.  New England has won four straight NFL bet preseason games against Washington and has won seven of the last nine preseason games in this NFL betting series.  The teams last met in the NFL bet preseason three years ago and the Patriots won 41-0.  The Patriots under head coach Bill Belichick are 21-18 in NFL bet preseason action.

Normally in the third preseason NFL betting game the starters play into the third quarter so that means Tom Brady should see a lot of playing time for New England. Some of the New England players are really focusing on this game because they haven’t had much playing time. Wide receiver Wes Welker played for the first time in the NFL bet preseason last week. Welker says he never holds anything back in the preseason. “That means running the plays the way they need to be run and doing what I need to do to get open. There’s no holding back. You can’t do that in this league. The players are too good.” Welker said, “You’re still out there preparing and making sure you run the offense the way you need to run it. You still look at the coverages teams like to run, which gives you an idea of what to expect on certain downs and distances. But first and foremost, it’s about understanding our concepts.”  Welker will get a lot of playing time in this NFL bet game on Friday.

NFL bet information tells us that the Patriots don’t have much at quarterback following Brady but Washington’s backups, Todd Collins and Colt Brennan haven’t looked good either.  Actually, Chase Daniels has played the best for Washington as NFL bet stats show but he probably is headed to the practice squad.
