Monday Night Football Odds: Texans vs. Jets

August 3rd, 2017 NFL Football

Is this a joke? Or just a sure bet? Anyway, Monday Night Football in Week 5 features the undefeated Houston Texans traveling to New York to take on the struggling Jets. Gametime in MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, is scheduled for 8:30 PM ET, with the game to be televised nationally on ESPN.

The Texans come into this game after a rout of the Tennessee Titans, 38-14, in Houston. While the Texans suffered a deficit in total yards at 325-297, and rushing yards at 158-95, they capitalized on 3 Tennessee turnovers. Houston turned two interception returns into touchdowns, and sacked the Titans 4 times. QB Matt Schaub threw 20-of-28, for 202 yards, and 2 touchdowns, while TE Owen Daniels ran for 72 yards and a TD on 6 catches. Start your Monday Football Betting on Texans vs. Jets Game.

The Jets are coming off an embarrassing loss at home to the San Francisco 49ers, 34-0. They had a poor performance all around, suffering deficits in first downs at 26-9, total yards at 379-145, and rushing yards at 245-45. The Jets were sacked three times and turned the ball over 4 times. QB Mark Sanchez had a tough game, throwing 13-of-29, for 103 yards. But really, who does he have left on the Jets’ depleted roster to pass to? WR Santonio Holmes is now out for the season with an Achilles’ injury, while TE Dustin Keller and WR Stephen Hill are both listed as Questionable.

The Texans are on a spread run of 14-2 lately. They are a perfect 4-0 ATS on the year, and 2-0 ATS as an away favorite. New York is on a 4-12-1 slide ATS. The Jets are 1-2 ATS overall, and 0-1 ATS as a home underdog. Check the Monday Football Odds for Texans vs. Jets Game.
