Matt Millen Joins NFL Network

November 14th, 2022 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

Matt Millen was not out of work long after being fired by the Detroit Lions.

NFL Network hired him as an analyst for the upcoming season and he will work with play-by-play announcer Bob Papa on Thursday night games.  NFL betting information tells us that Millen replaces Chris Collinsworth who moved to NBC.

Millen was a good commentator with CBS and Fox before moving into the Detroit front office where he was a disaster.  Sports betting information shows that the Lions are coming off an 0-16 season and they are still considered the worst team in the league with NFL betting odds of 100-1 to win this year’s Super Bowl. “My tenure was not good; it was very poor,” Millen said, “So it’s been said that you learn a lot from failures, and I learned a ton. So I can bring that to the table. I think I view my experience in Detroit as a positive just in terms of — not in terms of winning and losing, obviously — but having gone through it and having been exposed to every level of the National Football League. Yeah, I think that’s something that could help with the telecast.”

Millen will also be working on ESPN college football broadcasts as online betting info shows and he will be appearing on their NFL studio show. “We had an exclusive arrangement with Matt and the NFL Network approached us about adding him to their telecasts,” ESPN executive vice president Norby Williamson said, “Our relationship with the NFL is very important and we are happy to work together. Matt will do a great job there and his onsite presence will enhance his perspective on ESPN’s studio coverage for fans.”

Sports betting information tells us that while Millen may do a nice job for ESPN and the NFL Network, the Detroit Lions may also benefit in NFL odds.  They will definitely be a better team in NFL betting without Millen running the show. They selected Matthew Stafford with the first pick in the NFL Draft and overall they should be improved.

Millen’s first game during the NFL betting regular season will be on Thursday, November 12th as Chicago is at San Francisco in NFL odds. “I am humbled to be a part of the NFL Network team,” says Millen, “It is very exciting to be joining Bob Papa and an outstanding crew of professionals on the Thursday Night Football telecasts.”
