Kansas City Chiefs at Philadelphia NFL Betting

NFL betting on Sunday will have the Philadelphia Eagles favored against the Kansas City Chiefs.

It is likely that the Eagles won’t be favored by as much as they could have been though since Philadelphia has a lot of injuries. Making an NFL bet on Philadelphia is a bit risky right now.

NFL betting on Kansas City has not been profitable so far this season as the Chiefs are 0-2 both straight up and against the NFL bet number. The Eagles are 1-1 as they routed Carolina in the opener but lost badly last week to New Orleans. Quarterback Donovan McNabb did not play last week and probably won’t play this week either. That means Kevin Kolb would be the starter again for the Eagles. The Eagles will still be favored in NFL betting even without McNabb but there are other concerns with Philadelphia. The Eagles still don’t have running back Brian Westbrook healthy and DeSean Jackson suffered a strained groin last week. "I think (Westbrook) will work through these things," head coach Andy Reid said. "He hasn’t played much in games. Everything’s a little faster obviously in games … I know he’s working like crazy with our trainers and he gets frustrated because he wants to be out there every snap."

Kolb was 31 of 51 passes for 391 yards with two TDs and three interceptions last week against New Orleans. "I thought overall (Kolb) did a pretty good job after having an opportunity to evaluate it," Reid said. Michael Vick is eligible to play this week but won’t start.

Sunday’s NFL betting game will mark just the sixth-ever regular season meeting between the Chiefs and Eagles. Philadelphia holds a 3-2 edge in the regular season NFL betting series.

Those making an NFL bet should know that the Eagles are 1-3 in their last four pre-bye week games. Kansas City has been a good road team in NFL betting of late. The Chiefs are 11-5 in NFL betting in their last 16 road games. The Eagles have been pretty solid overall in NFL betting recently. The Eagles are 7-3 in NFL betting in their last 10 games overall.

Making an NFL bet on the total is always interesting. Four of the last five Kansas City games on the road have gone under in NFL betting. The problem with taking the under is that the Over is 4-0-1 in the Eagles last 5 home NFL betting games.
