Houston Texans at Indianapolis NFL Bet

November 21st, 2022 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

NFL bet attention on Sunday will be focused on the game between the unbeaten Baltimore Ravens and the 2-1 New England Patriots.

NFL bet history has seen the Indianapolis Colts go unbeaten this season at 7-0 and a very profitable 5-2 against the bet on football pointspread. The Colts should get tested in this matchup on Sunday against their closest division rival, the Houston Texans. NFL bet numbers have the Colts favored in this matchup. Indianapolis is not a double-digit favorite though since the Texans are 5-3 this season. Indianapolis is laying 9-points in this NFL bet game. The Colts were able to get by San Francisco last week but they were not a winner for those that bet on football because they did not cover the spread. The Texans were a pointspread winner last week as they went into Buffalo and won. The Texans suffered a major injury in that bet on football game though, as they lost tight end Owen Daniels who was leading the team in catches. Houston still has a lot of offensive weapons though and they may be able to test the Indianapolis defense. Whether or not they can slow down Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis offense is another story to NFL bet on.

Houston has been a good team for an NFL bet when they are an underdog. The Texans are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog. Houston has been solid in the division as they are 4-1 vs. the NFL bet odds in their last 5 vs. AFC South. Overall, the Texans are 3-1-1 vs. the pointspread in their last 5 games. What has hurt Houston through the past few years is that they don’t play well on the road in big games. They are 0-7 in NFL bet results in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.

Indianapolis has been great this season but they do have weaknesses against the NFL bet odds. The Colts are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 home games.

Six of the last seven Houston road games have gone under the NFL bet total. Eight of the last ten Houston games against AFC teams have gone under the bet on football total. Four of the last five Indianapolis games versus AFC teams have gone under. While those trends point to an under in this NFL bet matchup there is one huge trend that points to a lot of points being scored. The last eight times the teams have met the game has gone over the NFL bet pointspread.
