Houston Texans at Buffalo NFL Betting

November 21st, 2022 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

NFL betting favors the Houston Texans as they travel to Buffalo on Sunday to face the Bills. Both teams are coming off wins last week as the Texans held on to defeat San Francisco while Buffalo beat Carolina.  Many people discounted the Bills in football betting but they have won two straight and with a win on Sunday they could get to .500.

NFL betting has the Texans at 3-3-1 against the spread this season.  Houston is a fun team to watch since they score a lot of points. They are not always profitable to bet though in football betting since their defense is just so-so. Last week Steve Slaton scored two touchdowns to lead the Houston Texans.  Tight end Owen Daniels had seven catches for 123 yards.  Houston will be sorry to see an AFC team since they have won seven of their last 10 against NFC teams.   Matt Schaub has 16 TD passes this season which is more than he had all of last year.  Houston has been in the top 10 in points scored for much of this season but their defense has been ranked about 20th as NFL betting stats show.

The Bills have gone 4-3 in NFL betting this season and have actually been better with backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.  With starter Trent Edwards they were a bust in football betting. The Bills are still not very good offensively as NFL betting stats show but they are playing well on defense and scoring enough points to win and Fitzpatrick is not making mistakes.  Last week it was Jairus Byrd getting two interceptions as the Bills won despite being outgained 425-167.  Byrd now has five interceptions in three games.  With a solid defense and a mistake free offense the Bills have become a threat to win each week.

The Texans and Bills have played four times since 2002 with Buffalo winning three of the four games straight up. They are 2-2 against the NFL betting number though.  The last meeting was three years ago in Houston and the Bills came away with a 24-21 victory. The teams have split their two meetings in Buffalo with the last one coming in 2005. Just a couple of weeks ago this looked like an NFL betting mismatch.  Suddenly though the Bills are playing much better and are a threat to win this football betting matchup.
