Giants Apologize for Poor Play NFL Betting Lines

December 1, 2010 NFL Football

NFL betting lines last week had the New York Giants laying a huge egg at home against the Carolina Panthers.

The Giants were trying to get into the playoffs but lost 41-9 at home to Carolina in football odds. The Giants are now apologizing for that horrible performance.

NFL betting lines have the Giants at 8-7 straight up this season and 6-8-1 against the football odds.  The football odds game against the Panthers was the low point of the season for New York. "I apologize. I’m sorry. I wish I had an answer," quarterback Eli Manning said, "I wish we could have come out and played better football. I don’t have the answer to why it happened or why it has happened kind of throughout the season where we have been up and down in our play." NFL betting lines had the Giants with a chance to make the playoffs but with the loss they were eliminated.

The Giants actually started this NFL betting lines season at 5-0 before the wheels fell off.  The game against Carolina was simply an embarrassment for the Giants in NFL betting lines. The question now is how the team will respond in their season finale in NFL betting lines at Minnesota on Sunday. The Giants could finish at 9-7 with a win in NFL betting lines against Minnesota and that does sound better than 8-8. Whether they show up or not is the question to answer in NFL betting lines. "This wasn’t one of those seasons where we were constantly cruising along every game," punter Jeff Feagles said. "It’s been very inconsistent, up and down and everybody has questions."

There could be changes coming for the Giants next NFL betting lines season.  Football odds had many of New York’s players hoping that doesn’t happen. "Hopefully, we can stay intact," said tight end Kevin Boss, "I think we have been a team that has been pretty successful over the last three seasons and been to the playoffs the past four years. Hopefully, the core guys can stay together."

The Giants are 4-3 away from home this season in football odds so they might be worth a play in NFL betting lines against Minnesota. The NFL betting lines question will be motivation as the Giants have nothing to play for while Minnesota is playing for the #2 seed in the NFC.
