Football Preseason Odds: Raiders vs. Cardinals Game Analysis. The Oakland Raiders will travel from the Bay area into the desert for a preseason matchup with the Arizona Cardinals on Friday. The game is scheduled to begin in the U of Phoenix Stadium at 8:00ET.

The Raiders come into this one off a very unimpressive effort, at least offensively last week in their 3-0 loss to the Dallas Cowboys at home. That was head coach Dennis Allen’s first game at the helm for Oakland and he watched his offense manage a total of just 253 yards. Beleagured starting QB Carson Palmer did not get off to a good start when he was intercepted on the Raiders first possession. He hit on 50 percent of his 6 passing attempts for 33 yards before exiting. Start your Football Preseason Wagering action on the Tennesee Titans at SBG Global Football Preseason.

One positive note for Oakland’s offense was the return of RB Darren McFadden who played for the first time since an injury sidelined him last October. Look for him to get a lot of playing time on Friday as both his backups are now sidelined with injuries.

Coach Allen had to appreciate the defensive effort by the Raiders holding the Cowboys to only 202 yards of their own. Dallas only converted 20 percent of their third down opportunities.

For Arizona, all eyes will be on quarterback Kevin Kolb who is slated to start for the Cardinals against Oakland. He is in a battle with John Skelton who performed admirably when Kolb was out last year. Kolb didn’t do himself any favors in the 27-17 loss to KC last week, going 1-5 and 21 yards passing.

The Cardinals’ running game should get a boost on Friday with 2011 draft pick Ryan Williams expected to start after missing his entire rookie campaign due to injury. There is also a possibility RB Beanie Wells will see limited action against the Raiders. Check the NFL Football Preseason Odds for the 2012 NFL Season.

The Cards have won the last 2 preseason matchups between these teams and took a 24-18 decision in last years regular season.

Arizona is a 5 point home favorite on a $110/$100 moneyline. The same moneyline applies to the under/over of 37 total points.
