Football Odds – Chargers Favored in Late Monday Night Football Game at Kansas

November 29th, 2022 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

It is double the fun on Monday Night Football as the late game on ESPN in football odds has the San Diego Chargers visiting the Kansas City Chiefs. ESPN has been doing a Monday Night Football doubleheader the past few seasons and it is great for gamblers who wager on NFL betting lines. Chargers Favored on the Road – San Diego is a 4.5 point road favorite in NFL betting lines at the Sbg global sportsbook. The total on the game is 45.  The Chargers have owned the AFC West in recent seasons but playing on the road in Kansas City for the season opener will not be easy.

Weird Start Time – Do you know how late it will be in Kansas City when this game gets underway?  This game won’t start until after 9 pm in Kansas City and won’t end until after midnight.  The Chiefs have a great home field advantage at Arrowhead Stadium and this game is going to be wild with the fans in Kansas City getting the latest game in Chiefs history.

San Diego Players to Watch – San Diego has the better players in this game and there are three of them to watch on Monday night. Philip Rivers is an elite NFL quarterback and he could have a big night against Kansas City.  The Chargers have a new running back in Ryan Mathews so keep your eye on him as he is expected to get the ball a lot. With Vincent Jackson holding out you will want to watch tight end Antonio Gates. He should get a lot of passes from Rivers.

Kansas City Players to Watch – The Chief should be better this season but only if quarterback Matt Cassel starts to play up to his ability. He was not very good last season.  He has a new offensive coordinator in Charlie Weis and he needs to get off to a fast start.  Keep your eye on Kansas City rookie safety Eric Berry. He was a playmaker at Tennessee in college and early reports have him as a player who could make a major difference for Kansas City this season and impact football odds. And don’t forget about former Chargers receiver Chris Chambers who is with Kansas City. He will want to play well against his former team.

Series History – The overall series is extremely close with Kansas City holding a 50-49-1 edge.  The Chargers have won the last five though and nine of the last 12.
