Eagles Sign Jeremy Maclin – Football Betting

December 14th, 2022 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

Football betting at the sportsbook could perk up on the Philadelphia Eagles as they have come to terms with first round pick Jeremy Maclin. Online football numbers tell us that Maclin signed a five-year contract late on Monday night. Football has the Eagles as one of the Super Bowl favorites at the sportsbook.  The Eagles are counting on Maclin to open up the field and give quarterback Donovan McNabb a deep threat.  Football stats show that Maclin caught 102 passes for 1,260 yards and 13 touchdowns with Missouri last year.

The Eagles are happy to get Maclin in camp since he has missed a lot of time.  The deal for Maclin is reported to be five years for $15.5 million with over $9 million guaranteed as football numbers indicate.

Philadelphia started training camp last Sunday as football has it, so Maclin has his work cut out for him to make up time.  Football betting info shows that the Eagles are looking at Maclin to combine with DeSean Jackson and Kevin Curtis in the receiving corps.  McNabb is taking things slow and not expecting an immediate impact from Maclin. “He’s a rookie. You all act like he’s been in the league for five or six years,” McNabb said. “You don’t know what he’s going to do anyway. All we ask of him is to catch the ball and get up field and score. That’s all we ask. He’s a receiver.”

Maclin could impact football at the sports book in a number of ways in 2009.  He could be an impact receiver and make a difference in online football betting at the sports book.  He could be a slot receiver and run the ball on occasion and impact the football results.  Or he could return punts and kicks and impact the football outcome. Maclin returned three punts and two kickoffs for touchdowns in two seasons with the Tigers as online football betting stats indicate.  Many times in online football betting a game will be decided by a special teams play and Maclin could impact sportsbook results in 2009.

Football betting tells us that the Eagles had not taken a receiver in the first round since 2001 when they selected Freddy Mitchell.  That selection didn’t turn out well as Mitchell never made any impact in football with Philadelphia.
