Detroit Lions at Minnesota NFL Bet

December 1, 2010 NFL Football

NFL bet numbers have the Minnesota Vikings heavily favored at home on Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

It is easy to see why people will choose to bet on football with the Vikings in this game since they are 7-1 while the Lions are 1-7.

NFL bet is more than just winning the game though so if you take the Vikings you have to lay more than two touchdowns in this game against Detroit. It seems unlikely that Detroit will win straight up since they have lost their last 15 games on the road. They might be able to stay under the NFL bet number though and that is what will make this game interesting. For Detroit to cover in this NFL bet game, they need quarterback Matthew Stafford to avoid turnovers. Last week he threw five interceptions in the NFL bet loss to Seattle. It was the most interceptions thrown by a Detroit quarterback in almost two years. Detroit may have won a game this season at home for those that bet on football but they are still a losing team. "It’s super tough, man," said Detroit cornerback William James, "We were so close. We’re always so close. I’m tired of being so close."

Stafford threw for 203 yards last week but his interceptions hurt and his receivers didn’t help him much. "You have to understand, I can’t turn the ball over. I (gave) it right back to them," Stafford said. Wide receiver Calvin Johnson had just two catches for 27 yards as NFL bet statistics showed.

The Vikings had a bye last week and should be well rested for this NFL bet contest. Minnesota’s offense is very potent led by running back Adrian Peterson and quarterback Brett Favre. Minnesota is just outside the Top 10 in the league in points scored as NFL bet stats show. The Vikings have actually been a better NFL bet on the road than at home though. They are just 1-2 versus the NFL bet pointspread at home. Minnesota has won 9 of the last 10 games straight up against Detroit. They are 6-3-1 against the bet on football pointspread.

The Vikings won earlier this season in Detroit by a score of 27-13 and covered the 10-point NFL bet spread. That game went under the total and overall, the last three meetings between the two teams have gone under the bet on football total.
