Detroit Lions at Cincinnati NFL Bet

December 1, 2010 NFL Football

NFL bet lines heavily favor Cincinnati on Sunday as they host the Detroit Lions.

The Lions have not done much right this NFL bet season as they have gone 2-9 while the Bengals have done virtually everything right going 8-3.  Those that bet on football will see that the Bengals are 13-point favorites with a total of 42.

NFL bet results had Detroit getting routed last week as Green Bay won 34-12.  The Lions should be happy Thanksgiving is over since they have lost six straight on that day by a bet on football average of 23.2 points per game.  It was an ugly NFL bet game for Detroit as Matthew Stafford didn’t play well and the team overall was overmatched. "When you’ve got to throw the ball every down to try to get back into it when you’re behind, guys are going to be all over it," Stafford said. Before the game it was unclear whether Stafford would even play but he gutted it out.  He said his shoulder was not the problem. "I don’t think [the injured shoulder] was a factor at all," Stafford said.   Calvin Johnson, who was questionable with an injury, also played but did very little.

Cincinnati had a workman like win last bet on football week against the Cleveland Browns as Larry Johnson ran for more than 100 yards.  The Bengals won 16-7 as Johnson ran for 107 yards.  "I’m just glad they trust me to go in there, especially with the division and the playoffs on the line," said Johnson, "I just came here for a second chance."  Cedric Benson missed his second straight game while Bernard Scott was hampered by a knee injury.  NFL bet stats show that Cincinnati had 210 yards overall.  The Bengals have won 9 of the last 11 bet on football matchups against the Browns.

Cincinnati has dominated Detroit in the past NFL bet meetings. The teams don’t play a lot in bet on football action but when they do the Bengals win and cover in NFL bet action.  Cincinnati has won 6 of the 7 all-time meetings and they are 5-1 against the NFL bet odds.  The last NFL bet matchup was at Detroit in 2005 and the Bengals rolled 41-17.  The Bengals also won in Detroit in 1998 and 2001 vs. NFL bet lines. The last NFL bet contest between the two teams in Cincinnati was back in 1992 when the Lions won 19-13.
