On the whole the Seattle Seahawks are already out of margin for error. Two losses in two games are the worst possible start to the NFL betting season. However, Seattle is yet to play at home. Dallas is 1-1 straight up and against the spread. Additionally, both of their games went under the total. Of great concern is an offense that ranks 30th in the NFL overall and 29th for scoring. The reverse of that is a defense that ranks fourth overall and third for points allowed. Dak Prescott is no longer a rookie sensation fooling unsuspecting defenses. For example, his quarterback rating is only 87.7 with a single touchdown pass. On the whole the Cowboys have not shown enough to merit serious consideration as an NFC playoff contender. At least not yet.

Seattle is 0-2 straight up and 0-1-1 against the spread. To begin with losses at Denver and Chicago do not inspire confidence. Neither team is a top shelf NFL betting contender. For example, the Seahawks fell behind the Bears last Monday 17-3 early in the fourth quarter. The game ended in a 24-17 loss.

Supplementing the misery is the up and down play of quarterback Russell Wilson. On this occasion his quarterback rating is a subpar 89.3. Wilson has five touchdown passes and three interceptions. Consider Seattle’s offense ranks 27th overall. Concurrently the Seahawks defense ranks 20th overall.

Dallas has been a solid offshore betting play on the road. To demonstrate the Cowboys have lost just two of their last eight games vs. the line away from home.
