Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Football Betting

December 1, 2010 NFL Football

Football betting on Sunday is highlighted by the NBC game as the Philadelphia Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys.

It is a matchup between two teams that are 5-2 and fighting for the top spot in the NFC East. The Eagles are a field goal favorite in NFL betting.

Football betting has the Cowboys leading the all-time series 55-44 but the Eagles have won four of the past six games. Dallas is playing well of late but their level of football betting competition has been weak. They get a real test this week against a talented Philadelphia team. Both quarterbacks are playing well. Tony Romo has actually won his last 12 NFL betting starts in the month of November. On the other side, Donovan McNabb has won 11 of his past 16 starts against Dallas.

The Cowboys come into this game at 5-2 straight up and 4-3 against the football betting pointspread. Dallas is only 1-2 versus the NFL betting number on the road this season. The Cowboys have the 2nd best offense in the league in terms of total yards. The defense has been the better football betting choice of late as they are 10th in fewest points allowed.

Philadelphia is 5-2 both straight up and against the football betting odds. They are 3-1 at home in football betting this season. The Eagles are third in the league in points scored and 8th in the league in fewest points allowed. Anytime a team is in the Top 10 in both categories they are a team to follow in football betting.

Dallas has been solid lately in football betting versus NFC teams. Philadelphia has been excellent within their division of late. Here’s a look at the NFL betting stats for both teams.

The Cowboys are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 vs. NFC.
The Cowboys are 1-4 in their last 5 road games.

The Cowboys are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 meetings against the Eagles.
