Winless Cowboys Host Cardinals in Sunday Night Bet on NFL Exhibition

Arizona Cardinals vs. Dallas Cowboys NFL betting Game

At the beginning Steve Wilks has to be feeling good about his new role as Arizona head coach.  Starting with two wins in two preseason games the vibe is good in the Valley of the Sun.  By contrast it has been a sluggish preseason start for Dallas.  Take the case of two bet on NFL losses in two matchups so far.  True, coach Jason Garrett has been resting starters a lot.  But a winless preseason would cause unnecessary negativity heading into a critical year.  Indeed, its likely playoffs or bust for Garrett this year.  Dallas and Arizona meet Sunday Night and no matter where you are you can stay connected through our mobile betting interface.

Arizona Cardinals

Commencing with the arrival of Wilks is a re-commitment by Arizona to gain the playoffs.  After all they have missed the post season the past two years.  So far, the Cardinals have paid out in both bet on NFL exhibition games.  To summarize they beat the LA Chargers 24-17 at home in week one.  And then last week was a 20-15 payout at New Orleans. Of great concern are poor metrics despite the winning.  To be exact Arizona ranks 31st in the NFL for total offense and 26th for total defense.

Dallas Cowboys

Balanced against that is the Cowboys sportsbook record of 0-2 straight up and 1-1 vs. the line.  Accordingly, Dallas also has subpar preseason metrics.  To exemplify they rank 21st for scoring offense and 23rd for scoring defense.  The visiting Bengals upset Dallas last week 21-13.  However, in the preseason opener the Cowboys covered a 21-24 loss at San Francisco.  Of major concern for Dallas was their getting sacked five times by Cincinnati last week.

Josh Rosen vs Dak Prescott

Josh Rosen was the hero last week for the Cardinals.  Indeed, the rookie and top draft pick by Arizona has shown well.  To illustrate he was 10-16 for 107 yards with a touchdown.  Supplementing the effort were four sacks and four turnovers by the defense.  In the same way Dak Prescott was sharp for Dallas.  He was 10-15 for 86 yards passing and a touchdown.

Stats to Consider

Overall Arizona has lost just two of their last eight preseason games vs. the line.  Three of their last four exhibitions went under the total.  By contrast the Cardinals have covered just two of their last six road exhibitions.  Four of their last six away preseason games went under the total.

Team vs. Team

Account of Dallas exhibition games has been a lot of red ink.  To show the Cowboys have gotten the money in just three of 11 home preseason games.  Five of their last six in that role went over the total.  Overall, Dallas has paid in just six of their last 19 exhibitions.  Previously in four preseason matchups against Arizona the Cowboys failed to pay each time.  Additionally, three of those four exhibitions went under the total.

Matchup to Watch

On this occasion Arizona is an attractive Bet on NFL Selection.  Secondly the Cowboys are a poor board value in preseason.  As was mentioned earlier Arizona owns this head to head exhibition series.
