Colts and Saints go to 12-0 NFL Betting Odds

December 1, 2010 NFL Football

NFL betting odds had the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints going to 12-0 although only the Colts covered the NFL lines.

The Colts got past Tennessee 27-17 and covered the NFL betting odds while the Saints had go to overtime to get past Washington 33-30.

NFL betting odds for the Colts had them laying a TD against the Titans and Indianapolis was in control of the game for the most part.  It was the 21st consecutive regular-season win for the Colts which tied the New England Patriots record set from 2006-08. They can break that record next week as they host the Denver Broncos in NFL lines.  The NFL betting odds win also ended the Titans’ five game winning streak.  The Titans got another 100 yard game from Chris Johnson as NFL betting odds stats show but the failed to score in the red zone multiple times.  Twice in the second half, the Titans went for it on fourth down inside the Indianapolis 20 and failed both times and that doomed them in NFL betting odds. The Colts got two touchdowns from Joseph Addai and wide receiver Pierre Garcon caught six passes for a career-high 136 yards as NFL betting odds stats show.

The other side of the NFL betting odds of perfection had the New Orleans Saints getting a 33-30 overtime win against the Washington Redskins.  In all reality, the Saints probably should have lost outright in NFL betting odds.  The Redskins missed a chip shot 23-yard field goal with under two minutes left that would have given them a 10-point lead. Instead, they allowed Drew Brees and the Saints to tie the game.   Robert Meachem had two touchdowns for the Saints including the game-tying one with just over a minute left.  Kicker Garrett Hartley had the game winning field goal in overtime.

The Saints didn’t cover the NFL lines as they were laying double-digits to the Redskins. The New Orleans defense gave up 455 yards to the Redskins as NFL betting odds stats showed. They did get a big play in overtime though as they forced a turnover that led to the game winning kick.

The Colts are 8-3-1 against the NFL lines and they will host the Denver Broncos this week as they look to go to 13-0. The Saints are 8-4 against the NFL betting odds this season and they travel to Atlanta this week as they try and remain unbeaten.
