Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland NFL Betting

NFL betting has the Cincinnati Bengals favored on the road on Sunday at Cleveland. The Bengals have started the season at 2-1 and could easily be 3-0 while the Browns are 0-3 and one of the worst teams in the league. The Bengals should get most of the football betting attention in this matchup.NFL betting favors Cincinnati by 5.5 points in this game with a total of 38. While the Bengals are going to be a popular football betting choice, caution should be advised. It was not that many years ago that the Bengals were in this same situation as they defeated Baltimore in the opener of Paul Brown Stadium while the Browns were routed by Pittsburgh that same week. Cincinnati head coach Marvin Lewis will remind his players of that game. One player that needs no reminding is quarterback Carson Palmer who has said this game is dangerous. “It may not seem like a big game because they’re 0-3, but it’s a big game to us because we can go to 3-1 and 2-0 in the division,” Palmer said. “There’s a lot more riding on this game than it looks from the outside.”

If the Browns win it would be an NFL betting upset but Palmer knows that anything can happen. “Regardless of their record or what their situation is, it’s a dangerous game. It’s a division game. We understand how important division games are. We’re on the road; we’re going to be in a hostile environment. Their fans always show up week in and week out. We understand that.” Palmer said.

Cleveland may go with Derek Anderson at quarterback in this NFL betting game instead of Brady Quinn. Neither has played well this season but Anderson has had past success against the Bengals.

If you like the Bengals in NFL betting there are some definite concerns when it comes to recent trends. The Bengals are 2-8 in football betting in their last 10 games as a favorite and an even worse 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as a road favorite in NFL betting.

Cleveland has been horrible though in NFL betting recently so it is tough to back the Browns. They are 1-10-1 in their last 12 games overall and 0-6 in their last 6 games as an underdog. Cleveland is 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games. The only thing in their favor is that the underdog is 4-0 in football betting in the last 4 meetings between Cincinnati and Cleveland.
