Chiefs set to bounce back at the Pro Football Betting Odds on Sunday

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs

While Kansas City lost at New England last week it was a Pro Football betting payout that thrilled the NBC audience.  For the second consecutive week the Chiefs will play on the Sunday Night Football stage as they host Cincinnati.  And while the Bengals are tied for the lead of the AFC North they have hardly looked dominant.  Furthermore, the Cincy defense has the potential to get lit up by the high-octane Kansas City attack.  Of great concern for Chiefs backers is their defense that has not shown championship caliber so for this season.

Bengals vs. Chiefs TV Coverage:  NBC

Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City has a Pro Football betting record of 5-1 straight up and 6-0 vs. the line.  Last week the Chiefs covered a thrilling 43-40 loss at the Patriots. KC has gone over the total four times this season.  Overall KC ranks second in the NFL for scoring offense but 27th for scoring defense.  Supplementing those metrics was that loss at New England.  Identical to the numbers was the final result.  The Chiefs had plenty of offense but were done in by their subpar defense.

Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill

So too is the Kansas City offense the talk of pro football.  Accordingly, quarterback Patrick Mahomes as a 112.2 rating with 18 touchdowns and four interceptions.  Embracing the explosive offense is wide receiver Tyreek Hill.  Especially impressive is Hill’s 16.7 yards per catch with six touchdowns.  Correspondingly Hill has 11 catches for 20 yards or better.

Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati has a sportsbook online record of 4-2 both straight up and against the spread.  Furthermore, four of the Bengals games have gone over the total.  Last Sunday Cincinnati lost at home to Pittsburgh 28-21.  Of major concern are Bengal rankings of 23rd for total offense and 29th for total defense.  Despite the fact that Cincy’s offense ranks low quarterback Andy Dalton has played well.  Dalton has a 94.4 rating with 14 touchdowns and just seven interceptions.

Stats to Consider

Kansas City has emerged as one of the top home values in the NFL.  To show, the Chiefs have paid in eight of their last 11 laying points at Arrowhead Stadium.  Six of their last seven as home chalks went under the total.  Comparable to that is the Bengals red ink as road dogs.  To illuminate Cincinnati has lost seven of their last 13 on the board as a road dog.  Just two of their last nine in that role went under the total.

Team vs. Team

Head to head the Bengals have paid in six of their last nine against the Chiefs.  Consistent with that is eight of the last ten in this series went under the total.  But the Chiefs had covered five of their last eight at home with the Bengals.

Matchup to Watch

Namely the Chiefs offense has a big Pro Football betting matchup edge against the Bengals defense.  Moreover, Cincinnati lacks the offense to keep pace with Kansas City.  As has been noted KC is deadly at Arrowhead these days.

To conclude the high scoring Chiefs should bounce back big in front of their boisterous home fans.
