Chiefs & Bills Renew Rivalry in Loaded 2025 NFL Week 9 Card

Week 9 of the 2025 NFL season opens with a Thursday night Prime Video matchup of the Baltimore Ravens at the Miami Dolphins. At first glance, fans and NFL odds gamblers expect a strong quarterback matchup of Lamar Jackson of the Ravens and Tua Tagovailoa of the Dolphins. However, there is no certainty that it will come to fruition. Tua has been unable to stay in the Miami lineup. Caused by missing significant chunks of time due to various injuries, including a concussion. Additionally, Jackson has had his injury issues, too.

There was a point in the 2024 season when speculation was strong that Tua Tagovailoa would have to retire. Fortunately, that turned out not to be the case. Still, if he manages to answer the bell for Week 9, it will come as an online wagering surprise to many.

In the early Sunday afternoon window, the Green Bay Packers will host the Carolina Panthers. Naturally, this NFL betting odds matchup has the potential for an interesting quarterback matchup of Carolina’s Bryce Young and Jordan Love of the Packers.

Young was the Panthers’ first overall pick out of Alabama in 2023. Although he was touted as the franchise’s savior, he has instead proven to be a major disappointment. However, in all fairness, Young’s career is in jeopardy of being wasted in what has emerged as the worst organization in the NFL, if not all sports.

In the late afternoon window, one of the great NFL rivalries will be renewed. Specifically, the Kansas City Chiefs visit the Buffalo Bills. If not for the Chiefs, the Bills likely would have made the Super Bowl. Especially with QB Josh Allen and head coach Sean McDermott. But Kansas City has been the immovable object for Buffalo when it mattered most. The misery continued last year when the Chiefs beat the Bills 32-29 at Buffalo in the AFC Championship Game.

Consider that Buffalo’s Highmark Stadium will have an electric atmosphere. The Bills Mafia will be out for blood against the Chiefs. And Buffalo has scored their share of wins against Kansas City in the regular season. However, when it matters most, the Chiefs own the Bills.

ABC gets the Monday night game in Dallas between the Cowboys and the Arizona Cardinals. By this point in the season, fans, gamblers, and Jerry Jones will know if the Cowboys have a legitimate shot at a playoff berth. Also, we’ll know if the Brian Schottenheimer hire as head coach was a better idea than initially thought. Additionally, we will see if Arizona can continue to build on its 2024 improvement.
