Carolina Panthers at Dallas NFL Betting Lines

NFL betting lines on Monday heavily favor the Dallas Cowboys as they host the Carolina Panthers in ESPN’s Monday Night Football. The Panthers enter the game winless at 0-2 while the Cowboys are 1-1 after coming off a loss in NFL odds to the New York Giants.NFL betting lines have Dallas as an 8.5 point favorite with a total of 47.5.  The attention in this game will be on the quarterbacks as neither Carolina’s Jake Delhomme nor Dallas’ Tony Romo has played well this season.

Romo played very poorly last week in the NFL betting lines loss to the Giants as he was 13-of-29 passes for 127 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions.  Delhomme has been even worse as NFL betting lines show. He turned it over five times in a Week 1 NFL betting lines loss to Philadelphia and threw another one last week in the loss to Atlanta.  Carolina is really in a bad spot in NFL betting lines as they already trail the unbeaten Falcons and Saints in the NFC South.

Dallas leads the all-time regular season NFL betting lines series with Carolina, 7-1, winning seven straight.  The teams met two years ago and Dallas won 20-13 on the road in NFL odds. Carolina Panthers is 0-3 in Dallas since winning in 1997 in NFL odds.

Carolina played better last week but still lost in NFL betting lines to the Falcons.  Steve Smith had eight catches for 131 yards in the loss. DeAngelo Williams had 79 yards rushing and 32 receiving.  They could have success in NFL odds against a Dallas defense that is giving up 27 points and just under 440 yards per game. Dallas will look for a much better game from Romo this week and they will hope that running back Marion Barber is healthy enough to play.

Carolina has never finished an NFL betting lines season with a winning record after losing their first two games.  Although the Cowboys have owned the NFL betting lines series against Carolina, six of their seven wins have come by seven points or less.

Carolina has allowed 28 or more points in four straight regular season NFL betting lines games dating back to last season. Dallas will be making its 71st all-time appearance on Monday Night Football, second-most among all-time behind Miami.  The Dolphins have won 41 of those games, the most of any team on Monday night.
