Buffalo Hires Chan Gailey as Head Coach NFL Betting Lines

NFL betting lines on the Buffalo Bills have seen a lot of losses in recent years. The Bills are hoping things will be better as they have hired Chan Gailey as their head coach.  The Bills have missed the playoffs the last 10 years and Gailey has his work cut out for him to get Buffalo back to winning vs. NFL odds. NFL betting lines had Gailey getting hired to replace Dick Jauron who was fired in November.

The Bills were coached over the last NFL betting lines month or so by interim head coach Perry Fewell.  The Bills did nothing in NFL betting lines last season as they went 6-10 straight up.  Gailey has not had a lot of success vs. NFL odds as a head coach.  He was 18-14 with the Dallas Cowboys but was fired after losing twice in the playoffs.  He was the head coach at Georgia Tech but again didn’t do much with the Yellow Jackets. “If you sit there and say you lose confidence in yourself, no you don’t. But then you see opportunities go by. And you hope that your body of work will speak for itself,” Gailey said.

Buffalo general manager Buddy Nix said that he was impressed with Gailey’s overall body of work. “This guy met more of the criteria than I thought we could find,” Nix said. “And this guy’s won everywhere he’s been. He’ll get us back to winning and get to where we want to go.” Gailey does have a winning record as a head coach but just barely.  He was 44-33 at Georgia Tech and that really isn’t very good considering the Yellow Jackets play in the ACC.

Gailey has said that in addition to being the head coach he will also be the offensive coordinator.  That might be the best NFL betting lines news for Buffalo since Gailey does have a strong reputation as a good offensive coordinator.

NFL lines had the Bills really struggling to find a head coach. They were rebuffed by former Pittsburgh head coach Bill Cowher, Washington’s new head coach Mike Shanahan, New York offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, Minnesota defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier and others.

Gailey could definitely help Buffalo’s offense which was poor again this NFL betting lines year. The Bills have finished 25th or worst in total yards in each of the past seven NFL lines seasons. They have issues at quarterback and at receiver that hurts them in NFL lines, so Gailey has his work cut out for him.
