Buffalo Bills at Miami Football Betting

December 1, 2010 NFL Football

Football betting on the Miami Dolphins has not been as successful or popular as it was a year ago.

The Dolphins have started the season winless and things don’t look any brighter in NFL betting since the team lost starting quarterback Chad Pennington to a season-ending injury.

Football betting has the Buffalo Bills 2-point road favorites with a total of 37. With Pennington out for the football betting season the Dolphins are turning to Chad Henne who will make his first start. The Dolphins are going to miss Pennington as he was a team leader and a solid NFL quarterback. Last football betting season he threw for a career-high 3,653 yards with 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He dislocated his right shoulder in Sunday’s 23-13 football betting loss to San Diego. "We’re going to have to go out there with Henne, who is a lot less experienced," tight end Anthony Fasano said. "There is definitely going to be a learning curve for Henne. He can learn as much as he wants in a classroom, but until he’s out on the field, in-game experience he’s not going to learn."

Henne is thought to be the quarterback of the football betting future for the Dolphins. They just didn’t think the future would be now. Henne does have the confidence of teammates though, especially former Michigan teammate, Jake Long. "He’s poised. He’s a leader," Long said. "When he gets his chance, he’s going to do good." The Dolphins did trade for Kansas City backup Tyler Thigpen as football betting info shows but for now the job is Henne’s.

It might be hard for bettors to like the Bills in this NFL betting game considering they were throttled last week 27-7 by New Orleans. Wide receiver Terrell Owens didn’t even catch a pass, breaking his streak of 185 consecutive games with at least one catch. "We’ll take more shots," head coach Dick Jauron said. "We definitely have to get him more involved in the game no matter what the defense does." Buffalo should get a boost on Sunday from the return of Marshawn Lynch who had to sit out the first three games of the NFL betting season due to suspension.

Buffalo had won four straight meetings and seven of eight before being swept by Miami last season in football betting. The Bills are 4-0 in NFL betting in their last 4 road games.

Miami’s football betting numbers are not very good in this spot. The Dolphins are 15-36-1 in football betting in their last 52 home games and 8-21-2 in football betting in their last 31 vs. the AFC East.
