Edelman and Michel

Accordingly, one of the most popular betting on Super Bowl Props is always the first player on each team to score.  For New England running back Sam Michel is an obvious favorite at +200.  Despite scoring only six touchdowns in the regular season he has already totaled five in two playoff games.  And wide receiver Julian Edelman is another top pick at +300 for the Patriots.  Edelman had six touchdown passes in the regular season and none in the playoffs.  Naturally some will consider him an overlay as a result.  Edelman and Michel are even money to both score.

Who will score the First Touchdown?

On the whole Todd Gurley is an understandable +150 favorite to score the first Rams touchdown.  Consider that Gurley scored 17 touchdowns in the regular season with two more in the playoffs.  Receiver Robert Woods makes for a potentially attractive choice at +400 to score the first LA touchdown.

Most Valuable Player Props

By contrast the Super Bowl LIII Most Valuable Player props have a pair of obvious online gambling favorites.   Quarterbacks Tom Brady (-150) and Jared Goff (+150) are far and away betting favorites to win the MVP on Super Sunday.   Naturally the winning team’s quarterback usually gets the Super Bowl MVP Award.  As a matter of fact, Brady has won the award in four of New England’s five Super Bowl wins.  And for those picking the Patriots to win the game Brady makes for an expensive but understandable selection.

Quarterbacking Props

It follows that the Brady and Goff matchup leads to some great quarterbacking props for the game.  Most Gross passing yards is a prop that will get plenty of action.  Brady opened as a -3.5 -115 favorite with Goff at +3.5 -115 as the dog.  Certainly, Goff rates as a solid underdog pick even if the Rams lose.  In like maker the total completions may be a dog value on Goff.  Brady opened as -1.5 -115 with Goff at +1.5 -115.

Most Rushing Yards

Additionally, the running backs have a good prop on most rushing yards.  New England’s Sony Michel is -8.5 -140 with LA’s Todd Gurley at +8.5 +110.

Matchup to Watch

Jared Goff figures to be a strong pick for total completions and yardage over Brady.  Win or lose Goff looms large with the Betting on Super Bowl Props.
