Bet on NFL: Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Game Odds

Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

In view of the Browns turning the offense over to rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield it figures that they will have peaks and valleys this year.  Mayfield is coming off his best performance so far but Cleveland still failed to win.  Compared to last year the Browns are improving but are still miles from where they need to be.  Contrarily the Steelers have shown improved Bet on NFL value with two straight wins and covers.  As a result, Pittsburgh has taken the lead in the AFC North.  Despite the fact that the Steelers are surging, their defense remains a concern.

Cleveland Browns

Cleveland enters this game with a record of 2-4-1 straight up but 5-2 against the spread.  Four of their games have gone under the total.  Last week the Browns lost a heartbreaker in overtime at Tampa Bay 26-23 as 3.5-point dogs.  Especially impressive was Mayfield was passing for 23/34 and 215 yards with two touchdowns.  Of major concern are the Browns metrics.  To illuminate they rank 22nd in the NFL for total offense and 28th for total defense.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh enters this game with a record of 3-2-1 straight up and 3-3 vs. the odds.  Four of their games have gone over the total.  Last time out the Steelers covered a win at Cincinnati 28-21.  In contrast to the Browns the Steelers rank fifth in the NFL for total offense.  Of great concern is a defense that ranks 23rd in the league.   In like manner the holdout of running back Le’Veon Bell has had an adverse effect on Pittsburgh.  Consider the Steelers rank 26th in the NFL for rushing yardage.

Stats to Consider

Cleveland has improved as a bet on NFL value as a road dog.  To illustrate the Browns have paid in four of their last six getting points on the road.  Additionally, four of those six games stayed under the total.  Balanced against that is Pittsburgh’s drop-in betting value as a home favorite.  The Steelers have paid in just one of their last seven laying points at Heinz Field.  Following that they have cleared the total in eight of their last nine in that role.

Team vs. Team

On the whole Cleveland has held surprising offshore bookmaker value against the Steelers.  In fact, Pittsburgh has failed to cover the last four meetings in this series.  Also, three of those four games went over the total.  However, the Browns have struggled to get the money at Heinz Field.  To show, Cleveland has come away with the money in just five of their last 14 visits to Pittsburgh.  Three of the last four between these teams at Heinz Field went over the number.  These teams played to a 21-21 tie at Cleveland in week one.

Matchup to Watch

Pittsburgh is in better form with an offense that gives them a clear matchup edge.  In the same way the Steelers have proven Bet on NFL value in this series at home.  Furthermore, they are coming off a bye which will help immensely in preparation.

Browns vs. Steelers Bet on NFL Picks

To conclude the Steelers will have the motivational edge to atone for that ugly tie at Cleveland.
