Atlanta Falcons vs. Carolina Panthers NFL Betting Action Odds (11-10-2022)

At the onset of 2022, the Panthers were rated above the Falcons with the NFL betting odds. Carolina acquired QB Baker Mayfield as the missing piece. Instead, Mayfield has been missing in action. Carolina’s season is lost, and its head coach Matt Rhule is gone. By contrast, the Falcons were accused of plotting a tank for the 2022 campaign. Instead, Atlanta is contending for the NFC South division title. Matt Ryan was traded to the Colts in the offseason. And it was taken as a white flag of surrender. But Marcus Mariota leads a surprise season for Atlanta.

Falcons at Panthers SBG Odds Overview

To be exact, Carolina is a toxic online betting brand for the masses. Oddsmakers know this and will add a few points to the Panthers. But will it matter? Atlanta has much more to play for. And will not be overcharged as the road team.

Atlanta Falcons Team Overview

Last game, the Atlanta Falcons lost 20-17 against the Los Angeles Chargers as 2.5-point home dogs. The game went under the total of 50. Atlanta has a record of 4-5 straight up, 6-3 against the spread, and 5-4 over/under the total.

At the beginning, the Falcons dominated, getting out to a 10-0 lead. But the Chargers scored 14 unanswered points in the second quarter. LA was dominating the listless Falcons on the way. Yet the Falcons came to life a bit to get a field goal and the lead before faltering again. Atlanta allowed the Chargers to tie it up. Cause by a truly awful late fourth quarter drive. Los Angeles got the ball back with the clock winding down and a chance to win. Indeed, that was the worst-case scenario for the Falcons.

Atlanta was outdone by the pure mismatch of Justin Herbert versus a re-tooling, injury-wrecked Falcon secondary. Finally, Los Angeles won the game on a last-second field goal. Marcus Mariota finished the game 12-of-23 for 129 yards and several memorable misses. In comparison, Tyler Allgeier put together a career-best day, gaining 123 yards on 11 touches. Unfortunately, the Falcons couldn’t make the most of it.

Carolina Panthers Team Overview

Last game, the Carolina Panthers lost 42-21 against the Cincinnati Bengals as 7-point road dogs. The game went over the total of 42.5. Carolina has a record of 2-7 straight up, 3-6 against the spread, and 4-5 over/under the total.

The Panthers had no answers for Bengals running back Joe Mixon. To show, Mixon racked up five total touchdowns, with 153 rushing yards and 58 receiving yards. Carolina also had no answers on offense. Starter PJ Walker was pulled at halftime. To illuminate, Walker completed just three of his ten throws for nine yards with a pair of interceptions. Baker Mayfield was 14-of-20 for 155 yards and two touchdowns

The Panthers were down 35-0 at the halftime break. They were completely dominated. Correlate that Mixon accounted for five times as much yardage as the Carolina offense to that point.
