Week 7 College Football Best Bets
Missouri +5.5 vs. Alabama
– Saturday brings the chance for Missouri to pick up one of its biggest wins in its history. Alabama has tightened up since its Week 1 debacle at Florida State. But Missouri remains an underappreciated program with strong metrics and good betting value. The Zou could prove to be a trap for the Tide. Especially with Missouri coming off a bye week with extra time to prepare and add wrinkles. Mizzou rates the call in this one!
Texas -3 vs. Oklahoma
– The entire country and offshore betting community have turned against Texas, which makes it a potential contrarian betting value. Last week, the Longhorns suffered their second loss of the season, on the road against the Florida Gators, and Burnt Orange Nation is in full revolt. Oklahoma is undefeated, but its offense is not producing at an elite level. Now, with all of the squares taking Oklahoma, sharps will make the unpopular lay with a beaten power.
Texas coach Steve Sarkisian and quarterback Arch Manning aim to shift the conversation after a disappointing start. Texas will circle the wagons for a flawed Oklahoma team that may be overconfident and overpriced in this spot. Texas is the pick.
Oregon -10 vs. Indiana
–The Ducks and Hoosiers are coming off bye weeks and are on a Big Ten collision course as undefeated Top 10 programs. Curt Cignetti has accomplished what no one else has been able to do at Indiana, transforming the Hoosier program. But an assignment at Autzen Stadium is likely a bridge too far. Oregon has the look of a champion and has been bossing the cashier’s cage this season. Consider the roster difference between these teams. Hence, Oregon should roll here.
Nebraska -5.5 vs. Maryland
– Last week, Maryland led Washington by 20 points in the fourth quarter and was on the cusp of a breakout season. Instead, the Terps imploded and blew the chance to make a College Football Betting statement in a devastating loss. On the other hand, Nebraska rallied to beat Michigan State in the type of game it used to always lose. Nebraska has the momentum in this one.
USC -2.5 vs. Michigan
– In like manner to Texas, USC is losing public support after its loss to Illinois. But the Trojans are coming off a bye week and should have some surprises for a Michigan team that looked lethargic in its win over Wisconsin. USC should rebound here.
Week 7 SBG Best Bets:
Nebraska, USC, Texas, Oregon, Missouri
