Week 7 Utes of Utah at Trojans of USC

Moving on in 2015-16 regular season Week 8 we find the undefeated 6-0 No. 4 Utes of Utah (Pac-12 South 3-0) playing the 3-3Trojans of USC (Pac-12 South 1-2) with the game being played at the Los Angeles Memorial Stadium in Los Angeles, California on Saturday the 24th of October with kick-off scheduled for 7:30 PM ET and seen on FOX TV.

The No. 4 Utes of Utah are the only remaining undefeated Pac-12 team, and they just went past the Sun Devils of Arizona State like they were on fire. While the Trojans of USC lost to the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame as they could not score any points in the 4th quarter of that game. Thus, the Utes will seek to become 7-0 as they travel to play the struggling Trojans in L.A.

For those that Bet on College football as SBG sportsbook your 6-0 Utes showed their talent in the game against the Sun Devils as they scored some 20 points in the 4th quarter to win the game 34-18.

The Utes star RB D. Booker in the 1st half against Arizona State was scoreless, but in the 4th quarter he rushed for 1 touchdowns, one of which was for 62 yards and a TD. All toll he had 21 carries in the game and 120 total rushing yards, which was a slow game for him.

The Utes expect RB Booker to have a comeback big game against the defense against the rush of USC that in its 3 losses to date gave up the following yardage t o opponents; Stanford 196 yards, Washington 136 yards and Notre Dame 215 yards.

On defense the Utah team is playing well, as against the Sun Devils they held them to 9 points and 258 total offensive yardage. They have also only allowed a combined 44 points of high scoring California and Oregon, and they have forced some 20 turnovers in 2015 to date, and their offense has had 7 turnovers to date. If the Utes defense can force a couple of turnovers from the Trojans they could win this match-up.

If you’re a fan of the 3-3 Trojans of USC the team had a tough loss to Washington, then their Coach S. Sarkisian was fired, and then had to travel to play Notre Dame on the road. They put up a good fight under the lead of interim coach C. Helton, and were leading the game by a TD heading into the 4th quarter when they lost it, and the Trojans scored some 17 points, unanswered and lost the game 41-31.

In the loss to Notre Dame the Trojans and QB C. Kessler still managed to pass for 2 touchdowns and some 366 yards, but had 2 costly interceptions in the final quarter of the game, and their rushing yardage was 152 yards for the game.

With no hopes for the playoffs, and their season almost over, there is no pressure, and just maybe their new coach will revert to play calling and a game scheme that is more aggressive and will produce more game winning points. They need more form their big play members in S. Shuster and A. Jackson who have contributed to date some 15 plays of 30 or more yards to date, and in this game with the Utes they should explore those types of plays against the Utes of Utah. That’s because the defensive secondary of Utah have given up some 9 pass completions of 30 or more yards to date.

Since Utah has joined the Pac-12 the Trojans have won their 2 games with the Utes and in both games they covered the spread.

The sports betting prediction may be as the game outcome is the Trojans upset the undefeated Utes 35-32 and end their 3 game losing streaks.
