Question marks remain this fall, but coach Mike Elko seems to have Texas A&M on the right path. If the Aggies are going to seriously contend for the SEC Championship Game or contend for the College Football Playoff, it starts at quarterback. Namely, Marcel Reed’s development looms large. UTSA Roadrunners Team Overview
Following a win over Kennesaw State, UTSA lost to in-state opponents Texas State and Texas by a collective score of 105-17. Also, the Roadrunners dropped three of their first four AAC contests. But they bounced back with a three-game winning streak to earn bowl eligibility. UTSA concluded the offshore betting season with a Myrtle Beach Bowl victory, 44-15, over Coastal Carolina. Now the question is whether the Roadrunners can maintain that momentum going into 2025?
Following a solid 2024 season, Owen McCown is back at quarterback for the Roadrunners. He threw for 3,424 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions while completing 63% of his passes. Also, he ran for 340 yards and three touchdowns.
Additionally, UTSA brings back running back Robert Henry Jr. He led the Roadrunners with 706 rushing yards to go with seven touchdowns on the ground. He added 199 yards and a score on 21 receptions a season ago.
Also, UTSA’s receiving corps is loaded with experience. The Roadrunners return eight of their top nine receivers from a year ago. Including Willie McCoy, who led the team with 536 yards through the air while scoring four touchdowns on 28 catches. Tight end Houston Thomas is back after tallying 470 yards and three touchdowns on 34 catches. While wide receiver Devin McCuin led the team with 45 catches and five receiving touchdowns, He recorded 424 yards in eight games and is also back.

Overall, the 2024 season was a mixed bag for Texas A&M, but it may prove to be a good College Football odds down payment on the future.
