UCLA Gets Last Bowl Bid Betting

College football betting will include the UCLA Bruins this bowl season as the Bruins made it into the EagleBank Bowl against Temple on December 29th at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.

The Bruins made it into this NCAA football betting bowl game thanks to Navy’s 17-3 win over Army that eliminated the Black Knights from consideration.

College football betting has UCLA favored in this game even though they got in at the last minute. UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel is very happy the Bruins are in a bowl game. "We’ve reached our goal," Neuheisel said. "Now, we need to finish with a flurry." UCLA is favored in NCAA football betting against a Temple team that went 9-3 this season and making only their third-ever bowl game. This is Temple’s first winning season since 1990. The college football betting game is huge to Temple as well. "This means everything to our kids," said Temple head coach Al Golden, "This is what we’ve been working for the last four years.

College football betting really has a good matchup between UCLA and Temple. Both teams want to be in this game and the EagleBank Bowl wanted both teams. "We wanted Temple-UCLA, Temple wanted UCLA," said Steve Beck, the EagleBank Bowl executive director. If Army has won the bowl would have had no choice since they were in a contract with Army if they had enough wins.

UCLA was in the college football betting postseason two years ago then they lost 17-16 to BYU in the Las Vegas Bowl. For the Bruins to win this college football betting matchup they will have to stop Temple’s running game. Temple is 23rd in the country in rushing led by Bernard Pierce who is 11th in the nation with 1,308 yards. UCLA gave up 150 or more yards rushing in seven college football betting games this season. The concern for those taking Temple in NCAA football betting is that the Owls only played one team from a BCS conference and they were blown out 31-6 by Penn State.

College football betting has the Bruins at 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games in December. The Owls are 4-0 vs. college football betting odds in their last 4 non-conference games. The Owls are 9-3 in NCAA football betting in their last 12 games overall.

Five of the last seven UCLA bowl games have gone under in college football betting. The last seven Temple games overall have gone over the college football betting total.
