Tulsa vs. Tulane College Football Betting

College football betting on Friday has Tulsa favored at Tulane in an ESPN televised contest. The Golden Hurricane are considered one of the favorites in Conference USA this season and they are getting a lot of respect from those making a college football bet as they are laying nearly two touchdowns on the road. College football betting has Tulsa as a 13.5 point favorite with a total of 64.5 at the sportsbook.  The college football betting trends are somewhat mixed on this game.  Normally Tulsa is a very good team in early in the season as they are 8-3 against the college football bet number in their last 11 games in September. The problem is that they are 0-4 against the spread in their last 4 road games. Tulsa has led the nation in total offense the past two seasons and last year they averaged 569.9 yards per game.

Tulane has poor numbers in college football betting pretty much across the board but they are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in September. They are a poor team in the conference and at home though.  The Green Wave are 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 games as a home underdog. They are 7-23-1 ATS in their last 31 conference games. Tulsa is 4-0 against the college football betting line at the online sportsbook in the last 4 meetings between the two teams.

Tulane could be a lot better this season as running back Andre Anderson and wide receiver Jeremy Williams are healthy.  Quarterback Kevin Moore should also be better with a year of experience.  The defense should also be improved but that may not be saying much considering how bad they were a year ago.

If you are looking to make a college football bet on the total at the sportsbook you probably will look to take the over.  Four of Tulsa’s last five games in September have gone over the college football betting total. The Golden Hurricane are a high scoring team on the road as a favorite as 7 of their last 10 have gone over the college football bet total with one push.  While the college football betting trends point to an over from Tulsa’s numbers they point to an under when you look at Tulane’s trends. The last five times Tulane was an underdog the game went under.  Five of their last six games at the online sportsbook in the conference have gone under.
